The Coulee Kennel Club is a non-profit organization founded in 1955, located in the Coulee Region of the Midwest. The term “coulee” reflects the unique beauty of the area with its deep river valleys and rolling hillsides along the Mississippi River. The club brings together dog enthusiasts from Southeastern Minnesota, Southwestern Wisconsin, and Northeastern Iowa who share a common bond: they enjoy their dogs and the people connected with them. Members meet monthly to discuss club affairs, debrief on past events, plan future activities, and participate in educational programs on a variety of topics.

What is the dress code?
Casual and comfortable. Sessions run across a full day at the host hotel, so wear whatever you’ll be comfortable sitting and learning in.

Nothing! Bring every question you have about breeding, health testing, pedigrees, whelping, or anything in between. This seminar is built for honest, in-depth conversation.

The seminar takes place at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Onalaska, WI (2614 Midwest Drive), hosted by the Coulee Kennel Club.
The hotel serves as both the seminar location and the host hotel, with a special group block rate available for attendees. Book by March 11, 2026.
What should I bring?
We recommend bringing a notebook, pen, your pedigrees for analysis, and any questions you have about your breeding program.
What happens during the days before and after the main seminar?
Check-In from 3:00–4:00 PM, followed by a Welcome Dinner at 6:00 PM (location to be announced).
Core sessions: Purebreds & Breeding Basics (101), Breed Standards & Structure (201), Foundation Dogs & Pedigrees (301), Litter Prep & Husbandry (401), and Stud Dogs (501). Lunch on your own, Q&A / Review, then After Dark at 6:00 PM (location to be announced).
Whelping (601), Neonatal Care & Puppy Development (701), and Puppy Placements (801). Lunch on your own, then a Final Q&A / Wrap-Up to close the seminar.
