For many of us, Westminster Dog Show was the first time we were tantalized and inspired by all the wonderful dogs that we had never seen or even heard of before.
The Voice of Westminster
David Frei was “The Voice of Westminster”. For 27 years, David opened our eyes to the traits, instincts, stories and wonder of purebred dogs. From David, we heard about border collies and herding, Belgian Malinois as police dogs, golden retrievers, fox terriers, bloodhounds, Siberian huskies, and so many more. Almost always, the reason behind the pom-poms on the poodle was clearly defined.
First Mentor – David Frei
Mentors and the lessons they give come to us in many ways. David Frei is a mentor to many…millions of Westminster Dog Show fans have been mentored by David. As a breeder, exhibitor, trainer, or judge – words matter. We never know who or how our words may influence us.
Barking with the Stars
Beverly Hills Dog Show Presented by Purina will have the voice of David Frei and John O’Hurley. Once again, we will be able to hear great coverage from our favorites to air on Easter Sunday on USA network. Hollywood-esque with stars and celebrity dogs, makeovers for handlers, and trips down Rodeo Drive, the most talked about highlight is the Red Carpet fashion show walkway that the 7 Group Winners will strut for Best in Show.

David talks about Pat Craige Trotter and “Craige-Hounds”, a name respectfully given for her dominance in Norwegian Elkhounds.
